Population Profiling Verification Response Program Launched for Afghan Refugees
Islamabad-All Refugees in Pakistan, whose number is the largest in the world, are enjoying basic facilities.
This was stated by the Minister for States and Frontier Regions (SAFRON) Engineer Shaukatullah here on Monday at a function on the World Refugees Day, organized by the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR).
The SAFRON Minister said a new programme Population Profiling Verification Response was operational in the country to collect the data of Afghan Refugees and facilitate them.
He said every year March to October Voluntary repatriation process is started for Afghan Refugees and over US$ 150 per head is provided to them.
UNHCR Country Representative Mengesha Kebede appreciated the steps taken by the government for the welfare of Afghan Refugees.
