Mazhar Yasin Khan Wattoo

Assumed the charge of Commissioner Afghan Refugees Punjab (BS-20) in Lahore on 12th April 2019. Earlier, he was posted as Deputy Secretary, Petroleum Division, Islamabad. Prior to this, he had served at pivotal positions in the Federal Ministries, Divisions & Departments i.e. Ministry of Interior, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, NAB, FIA, Ministry of Climate Change, ERRA, Passport Office (DGI&P). Further, before joining Civil Service, Mr Mazhar Yasin Khan Wattoo had worked in Pakistan Steel Mills Karachi, Telecom Foundation and senior Instructor in Technical college Rai wind Road, Lahore for a period from 1994 to 1999. Being a seasoned Government Officer of Secretariat Group (OMG-27CTP), he initiated and  successfully implemented PISCES, IBMS and Cyber Crime projects in FIA and Machine readable Passports, online renewal and Epassports projects in Directorate General of Immigration and Passports (DGI&P). Mazhar Yasin Khan Wattoo  had visited many countries including USA, UK, Kosovo, Haiti, Turkey, Indonesia, Srilanka, Peru, Nepal, Japan and represented Pakistan at different platforms. He has also good exposure of working with International Organizations i.e. UN Peace Keeping Missions for Kosovo & Haiti, US funded Border Security Project, ADB, SAARC, ECO etc. He holds degrees of Electrical Engineering and MBA and attended/qualified number of trainings/courses from domestic and International institutions/bodies.
